The beautiful ASPEN is the quintessential Colorado tree. Towns, streets, dogs and even beer have been named after this glorious tree. In the summer, the aspens provide shade for the Colorado state flower, the Columbine; and when fall foliage comes on the scene, Coloradans rejoice as the aspens’ gently tinkling leaves turn a vibrant shade of gold. Because we are traveling BY TRAIN, we will see parts of this wonderful display that are inaccessible by motor vehicle.
