Join us as we absorb what Spring has to offer. We will first take in the TEXAS DISCOVERY GARDEN located at Dallas Fair Park. This spacious 7.5 acres offers a wonderful diversity of garden styles and botanical collections.  Next, we visit the DALLAS ARBORETUM, one of the most beautiful outdoor attractions in Dallas, featuring 66-acres of spectacular display gardens that showcase incredible seasonal flowers, ornamental shrubs, trees and plant collections in a serene setting on White Rock Lake.

CHOO, CHOO !  If you love locomotives, riding on trains, and FANTASTIC SCENERY, then this trip is for you.  This trip will include 3 of the most scenic, historic trains in the SOUTHEAST.  The BIG SOUTH FORK SCENIC RAILROAD is a 16 mile round trip into the Daniel Boone National Forest and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. THE GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAIN RAILROAD is a 4.5 hour excursion taking you 44 miles to the Nantahala Gorge and back again. LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN INCLINE is known as “America’s Most Amazing Mile,” The Incline’s trolley-style cars climb through the natural beauty surrounding historic Lookout Mountain at a breathtaking 72.7% grade – straight up!

YAHOO!  IT’S FAIR TIME!  We’ll depart Chuck’s Travel by 8:30 AM for a nice drive to DALLAS, where we’ll join the STATE FAIR OF TEXAS!  You’ll enjoy the hundreds of exhibits, including the Women’s Building, Livestock Grounds, music, entertainment, food, and so much more!  Many special exhibits and shows will go on daily. You’ll be able to get a schedule upon arrival!  We’ll depart the Fair around 5:00pm.

FIREWORKS ON THE FOURTH OF JULY, a truly unique American experience!  Not just any fireworks, these will be displayed over the Mississippi River behind the famous GATEWAY ARCH! After a leisurely trip through Indian Territory and the western edge of the Ouchita Mountains in OK, we will arrive in Joplin, MO for our first night. The next day will find us at Carthage, and the internationally known Precious Moments Garden and Chapel.  After lunch and shopping at the headquarters of THE BASS PRO SHOP in Springfield, we will head toward our destination of St. Louis. While in theres, you will visit the Gateway Arch museum, Laclede's Landing, Grant's Farm, Museum of Transportation, Forest Park (the site of the 1904 World's Fair), Route 66 State Park, and the Anheuser Busch Brewery. You will also be given free time to go to a Cardinals baseball game, explore downtown, visit the Fair of St. Louis, or ride to the top of the Arch. From St.Louis, we will drive to Little Rock, Arkansas.  There we will visit The Old Grist Mill, the only surviving structure used in the movie “Gone with the Wind.”

Included in today’s events will be a DALLAS TOUR as well as a tour of the World Famous DALLAS COWBOY STADIUM. Our Professional Step-On Guide will board our motor-coach to show us the history and rumors of DALLAS. During the day, we will make our way over for our stadium tour. Cowboys Stadium is more than the home of the Dallas Cowboys, it's a world of facts and figures about the world's largest domed structure, an art museum, a classroom.  With this tour, we get to see what happens behind the scene as we venture down two stories below the turf!
