DAY 1 – OVERNIGHT FLIGHT
Today, board your overnight flight to Europe.
DAY 2 – ARRIVE IN ZURICH, SWITZERLAND / BERN / WENGEN
Upon arrival in Zurich, Switzerland meet your PREMIER WORLD DISCOVERY TOUR DIRECTOR. Travel to Bern, the beautiful capital city of Switzerland featuring cobblestone street under medieval arches making it one of Europe’s most picturesque cities & registered as a UNESCO historic site. See the Rose Garden, one of the most beautiful parks in Bern offering an unrivales view over the rooftops of the historic Old Town. Also see the impressive Zytglogge (Glockenspiel), a landmark medieval tower built in the early 13th century, it has served the city as guard tower, prison, and clock tower. Later, travel up into the massive Swiss Alps and arrive in Lauterbrunnen with its towering cliffs. Say goodbye to the motorcoach for a few days as you begin using your included Berner Oberland Regional Rail Pass which gives access to rail, cable car, bus, and boat. Travel by Cog Rail up to the enchanting alpine village of Wengen, your home for the next 6-nights. Wengen is a picturesque small village in the Jungfrau region and could represent the Swiss Alps on postcard as it features no cars, mountains all around, green meadows, and forests surrounding the village. This vening, enjoy a WELCOME DINNER.

DAY 3 – LAUTERBRUNNEN VALLEY / TRUMMELBACH FALLS/ MURREN
This morning, board the Cog Railway for an excursion to the glacier-carved Lauterbrunnen Valley. Board a Postbus to Trummelbach Falls, a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built in 1913. Go inside the mountain and see how the falls have carved incredible caves. Next, take a cable car up to Gimmelwald, a small traffic free village in the Bernese Oberland. Then continue to Murren to enjoy some time at leisure in this car-free village noted for hiking paths surrounded by bell-ringing cows, waterfalls and wildflowers. Ride the funicular up to Allmendhubel (altitude 6,200 ft.) for the view, or take the Schilthorn Cable Car up to the summit Piz Gloria (additional cost, altitude 9,700 ft.). The panoramic revolving restaurant at the summit was featured in the 1969 James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Later, return to Wengen where dinner is included this evening with your fellow travelers.

DAY 4 – WILDERSWIL / LAKE CRUISE / ROTHORN STEAM TRAIN
Today begins with a visit to Wilderswil to board the vintage Cog Railway up to Schynige Platte for incredible views of the surrounding mountain peaks (altitude 6,800 ft.). Later, take in the scenery as you cruise across turquoise blue Lake Brienz. Then, ride the Brienzer Roghorn Steam Train to the heights of the Rothorn through alpine meadows and the sound of Swiss cow bells to experience more views of the impressive Alps. Later, return to Wengen and enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers.

DAY 5 – DAY @ LEISURE / ZERMATT OPTIONAL
Today, enjoy free time in Wengen to shop, hike, and explore with your travel pass. Maybe join an optional day trip to the famous car-free ski resort village of Zermatt situated at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, one of the world’s most famous peaks. Enjoy time at leisure to explore Zermatt on your own. Perhaps peruse the luzury boutiques and shops or enjoy a meal in a ski lodge. Maybe ride up the Cogwheel Railway to the Gornergrat (additional cost, weather permitting, 9,500 ft.) offering incredible views of the Matterhorn and 29 of the highest peaks in Europe. Return to Wengen after a long but rewarding day and enjoy the evening at leisure.

DAY 6 – JUNGFRAU OPTIONAL / GRINDELWALD
This morning is at leisure to relax or maybe join the half day Optional Jungfraujoch Mountain Rail Excursion, referred to as the Top of Europe, a place where the highest railway station in Europe is located (11,300 ft.). This afternoon, travel via Cog Railway to enjoy the included visit to the resort village of Grindelwald to explore, shop, and maybe visit a local cafe. Later, continue on to “Summit in FIrst” via the Grindelwald-Mannlichen Gondola Cableway, Europe’s longest cable car to an altitude of 7,600 ft. Later, return to Wengen for an evening at your own pace.

DAY 7 – ROSENLAUI / AARE RIVER GORGE / MEIRINGENARK CITY / FLY HOME
Today, travel by Cog Train along the sheer walls of the Swiss Alps back to nearby Grinderwald. Then, board a fames yellow Postbus and travel through the most remote portions of Switzerland for exploration of the Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge which features waterfalls, natural whirlpools, and fantastic rock formations. Later, descend out of the mountains to the amazing 600 ft. deep Aare River Gorge, carved over thousands of years by the Aare River. Later, travel to the village of Meiringen known for being the home of the tasty Meringue and the site of Sherlock Holmes’ final case. Enjoy some time on your own to visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum and try a Meringue at a cafe. This afternoon, ride to panoramic Express Train along Lake Brienz to Inerlaken, then the Cog Train up to your hotel in Wengen. Later, enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers.

DAY 8 – WENGEN / LUCERNE / ZURICH
This morning, descend on the now familiar Cog Railway and board your motorcoach for the first time in days. Visit one of the most scenic local resident street in Europe, the Brunngasse in Brienz, which will include a visit to a local Wood Carving Shop. Then, travel over Brunig Pass to Lucerne, situated in the geographical heart of Switzerland and poetically described by Alexandre Dumas as “a pearl in the world’s most beautiful oyster”. Enjoy a Lucerne Walking Tour featuring the famous Lion’s Monument, the historic wooden Chapel Bridge, and a walk along shores of beautiful Lake Lucerne. Continue to Zurich and check in to your hotel for your final night. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner.

DAY 9 – ZURICH / HOME
Transfer to the Zurich Airport for your flight home filled with wonderful memories of your Alpine Swiss Village & Rails Tour.

Program may not be appropriate for wheelchair or other mobility aids. The village of Wengen sits at an altitude of 4,200 ft. Maz elevation of included sight-seeing is 7,600 ft. Option excursions up to 11,300 ft. (Jungfraujoch). Please check with your doctor if altitude is a potential health concern if considering the optional sight-seeing. Order of days are subject to change due to weather and other scheduling.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: The overall activity level of this tour is a LEVEL 4. This tour is active, requiring participants to be in good physical shape to fully enjoy the experiences. This itinerary has more activities which may include such things as longer walking tours over uneven ground, transfers over uneven ground and dusty terrain, high altitudes or very early morning departures. All conditions do not apply to all days, so please read the itinerary carefully and speak to a Premier World Discovery Reservations Coordinator to determine if this tour is right for you. Unfortunately, this tour is not appropriate for individuals who use wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, or similar equipment.

(2025 Fly & Ride Packages)
CREDIT CARDS:
PWD accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express for credit card payments. We must get a signature on the reservation form or PWD credit card charge form for initial credit card charges. We can also accept a letter of authorization with the cardholder signature and the amount to be charged. Credit cards taken over the phone must be accompanied by the 3 digit security code from the back of the card. For final payments using the same card as the initial deposit, authorization to PWD can be taken via phone or email by the Group Contact or Passenger. PWD does not accept group leader/single source credit card payments for full or partial group final payments. Credit cards for final payments need to be in the name of a traveling passenger. PWD cannot take overpayments for services not being rendered by PWD via credit card such as own air. PWD cannot accept credit card payments in excess of what is due to PWD other than commission due to group/agency. The amount in total PWD can charge on a passenger credit card for a group booking cannot exceed the amount due to Premier for the group booking (other than commission). Credit card payments cannot exceed the Flyer Sell At package amount or PWD provided package of the traveling passenger and his/her roommate(s). PWD can accept group leader/single source credit cards for deposits.
AIR DEVIATIONS & GATEWAY CHANGES:
Any Air Deviation, Gateway Change or Own Air Arrangement must be submitted to PWD Reservations Dept in writing (email/letter/Res Form) 6 months prior to departure. Any Air Deviation involving dates of travel other than regular scheduled group travel dates will incur a $150 per person air supplement for International Trips/$75 per person air supplements for US/Canada. Any passenger requesting a different gateway (Gateway Change) from the group will not incur an air supplement but will be subject to air rate increases or reductions based on the Gateway. Passengers requesting Own Air will get the RT Air package reduction. One-way air, Triangular air or air involving stopovers is not permitted with PWD group air contracts (offer Own air reduction). Business Class or First Class Upgrades are not permitted with PWD group air contracts.
“OWN” AIR ARRANGEMENTS:
PWD is scheduled to book air arrangments for your group unless noted otherwise on page 1 as OWN Air. Any passenger or group change to OWN Air must be submitted to PWD in writing 6 months prior to Departure Date. Group change to OWN Air must be reviewed by Inventory Manager to see if PWD has non-refundable air deposits out, change may not be permitted or penalties may apply. Group change from OWN Air to PWD group air must be submitted 6 months prior to Departure Date, and must be reviewed
by Inventory Manager for Air Department approval as space may not be available and rates can vary.
LATE BOOKINGS:
Late Bookings (after Final Payment due date) are subject to air and hotel availability, and are normally subject to air supplements.
REPLACEMENT BOOKINGS:
Replacement Bookings – Name Changes are not possible. Each Passenger Cancellation is processed independently of any new Passenger Booking.
TRIPLE RATES:
Triple room rate reduction is based on a standard double room with 2 beds. Triple rates do NOT include a third rollaway bed. Room configurations vary greatly Internationally.
PASSPORT & DOB INFORMATION:
A valid passport is required for tours that leave the United States even to Canada, Mexico or the Carribean and is the responsibility of each passenger. Passports should be valid for up to six (6) months beyond the travel dates. All names must be submitted to Premier exactly as they appear on passenger passports. Dates of Birth (DOB’s) are required with reservation for air travel. Copies of passports are required for some programs. Additional forms maybe necessary based on the destination. Travel Visas, when applicable, are the responsibility of the individual passenger. Please see the Flyer back for destination specific information.
CANCELLATION NOT COVERD by the Travel Protection Plan (TPP) or passengers opting not to purchase the Travel Protection Plan are subject to the per person Cancellation Fees as described below. The Travel Protection Plan must be purchased with initial deposit.

CANCELLATION FEES:
Cancellations not covered by the Travel Protection Plan (TPP) or if the TPP is not purchased, are subject to the following per person fees:
– Cancel more than 180 days prior to departure: Full Refund
– Cancel 179-90 days prior to departure: Deposit or TPP* is Retained**
– Cancel 89-60 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
– Cancel 59-30 days prior to departure: 50% of total price
– Cancel 29-15 days prior to departure: 75% of total price
– Cancel 14 days or less prior to departure/no shows: No refunds

PREMIER’S TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN (TPP) $375 per person (must purchase with Initial Deposit).
Part A – Cancellation Waiver provided by PWD
I. Trip Cancellation Waiver (TCW) – Guarantees full refund on all payments, except the Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee itself in case of cancellation up to the time and date of departure due to the passenger’s personal illness or death of an immediate family member. Medical/official documentation required.
II. Premier “Any Reason” Cancellation Waiver (ARCW) – Reimburses 75% of the cancellation fees in the form of a future travel credit certificate (FTCC) valid for 1 year, if you cancel more than 48 hours prior to scheduled departure for any reason not eligible for cash refund under the TCW (Part A – I.). FTCC is non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash and does not include any credit for the Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee. The Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee must be paid for with Initial Deposit and is refundable until 180 days prior to departure. The Trip Cancellation Waiver does not cover any single supplement charges due to an individual’s traveling companion canceling prior to departure. The Trip Cancellation Waiver is non-transferable and valid for each applicant only. The Trip Cancellation Waiver does not cover any services such as airline tickets not purchased through PWD. Cancellations, Refunds & Inquiries under Part A will be handled by PWD. Certain Exclusions and Restrictions apply.

Premier World Tours LLC dba Premier World Discovery (hereafter PWD), whose vouchers are used by respective agents for the passenger in all matters pertaining to hotel accommodations, sight-seeing tours and transportation, hold themselves free of responsibility for any damages occasioned from any cause whatsoever. PWD will not be responsible for any damages or inconvenience caused by late arrivals, departures and change of schedule or other conditions nor will they be responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passenger is not on board their conveyance. The passage contract in use by the airline concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of this tour/cruise, and/or passenger. PWD does not hold any responsibility for the conduct of any of its members, hotel, motorcoach, cruiseline, train, airline or other personnel. PWD reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour/cruise at its discretion. PWD &/or its Tour Director retain the right to require any participant to withdraw from a tour/cruise at any time, if determined to be in the best interests of health, safety & general welfare of the tour/cruise group or of the individual participant. Arbitration – I/We agree, any and all disputes concerning this contract or any other material concerning the trip, or the trip itself must be resolved exclusively pursuant to binding arbitration in the state of California, pursuant to the then current rules of the American Arbitration Association.
