Journey through Southern Africa from its wild plains and dry woodlands to rivers and lakes on a true safari adventure by land and water. Search out the “Big 5” roaming in nature in the sprawling wilds of Chobe National Park and Hwange National Park. Share a simple traditional meal with a local family in their home in Victoria Falls. Set off on a cruise for 3 nights on a privately chartered safari boat along the stunning Lake Kariba, teeming with birdlife and game species. Enjoy an al fresco dinner on the banks of the Zambezi. SUNSET CRUISE on the ZAMBEZI RIVER = $75 Per Person

Set sail on the majestic Zambezi River!  Find yourself surrounded by amazing views during one of the most magical times of the day – sunset.  It is Africa’s fourth largest river and a lifeline for crocodiles, hippos, elephants and a variety of wildlife.  Be welcomed aboard with a glass of champagne and toast to the start of your scenic adventure.  Enjoy an all-inclusive bar menu and complimentary hot and cold snacks as you sit and gaze at the calm waters of the river.  Get your cameras ready as the sun sets and fills the sky with a warm glow.

Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours.  Please note a minimum of 2 passengers is required.  Transportation is included.

ACTIVITY LEVEL

The overall activity level of this tour is a level 4.  This means you’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring.  You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and half or full day hikes are things you may enjoy) and 10,000 steps a day is normal for you.  You can handle longer walking tours (more than 3 hours covering 3+ miles at a steady clip) and activities that involve traversing uneven terrain, steep slopes, standing for periods of time, and varying altitudes and temperatures.  You can handle altitudes of 9,000 feet or higher with little to no issue.  This tour includes several early morning game drives with departures at 6:00 a.m.  When traveling in Africa you will encounter full days of sightseeing, frequently in warm temperatures.  In order to fully experience the wildlife, you will be traveling by safari vehicle which requires climbing in and out frequently and travel on bumpy and dusty roads.  You will also use tender boats to better access wildlife viewing while in Lake Kariba.  To experience Africa fully, we recommend that all guests be in reasonably good health and prepare properly.  This level is not appropriate for travelers who use wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility assistance devices as well as those that require an oxygen tank.
