Then, we’ll board the New Tygart Flyer for another scenic train ride with stunning views of waterfalls and mountains. Next up, we’ll step back in time with visits to historic sites like Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s home, and Colonial Williamsburg, where you can explore 18th-century buildings and even chat with people dressed in period costumes. We’ll also stay at the luxurious Greenbrier Resort and take a tour of its secret underground bunker, built during the Cold War! And if that’s not enough history, we’ll visit Jamestown Settlement, the first permanent English colony in America, and Yorktown, where the American Revolution ended. ITINERARY
DAY 1 – ARRIVE WASHINGTON, D.C..
Arrive in Washington, D.C., meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay in the nation’s capital. Tonight enjoy a Washington D.C. Twilight Illumination Tour of the famous monuments including those dedicated to Lincoln, Jefferson & Washington.

DAY 2 – POTOMAC SCENIC EAGLE RAIL
This morning drive by the Patsy Cline Historic House in Winchester, VA. She was the first woman inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973. Then, arrive at Wappocomo Station to board the Potomac Scenic Eagle Railroad. The memorable 3-hour experience aboard the vintage diesel train leads you through pastures and farms dating back to the 1700s. Winding along the South Branch of the Potomac River, enter a beautiful gorge known as the Trough, which is home to American bald eagles. Later, board your motorcoach and travel to Elkins, WV for a two-night stay. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers in the Elkins area.

DAY 3 – NEW TYGART FLYER TRAIN
Mountains, waterfalls, and splendid fall scenery are all on today’s itinerary as you board the New Tygart Flyer at the restored Elkins Station. Enjoy the 4-hour, 46-mile round trip journey through the West Virginia wilderness. Vintage diesel-powered locomotives climb along the cascading Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat, a massive waterfall in one of the most remote and tranquil settings in the region. Travel through S curves and along steep mountain grades. Then visit the West Virginia Railroad Museum, located in the historic Darden Mill and showcasing West Virginia’s rich railroad heritage through exhibits and artifacts.

DAY 4 – GREENBRIER RESORT & BUNKER
Take in the mountain scenery as you travel to the famous Greenbrier Resort for an overnight stay. This afternoon, get an insider’s look with a docent-led Bunker Tour of the nowdeclassified secret bunker built underneath the hotel in 1958. This bunker was built during the Cold War for the possible evacuation of the President, Senate, and the House of Representatives. This evening, enjoy fine dining in the resort’s well-appointed Main Dining Room with your fellow travelers.

DAY 5 – GREENBRIER / MONTICELLO
This morning enjoy breakfast at the Greenbrier Resort then motorcoach to Charlottesville and visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Tour the Smith Gallery filled with fascinating exhibits, see a film about Jefferson, tour the classical architecture and view the gardens of his mountaintop home. Later, arrive in historic Williamsburg for a three-night stay. Enjoy this evening at leisure.

DAY 6 – JAMESTOWN / YORKTOWN
Today a short ride brings you to Jamestown, founded in 1607 as the first permanent English settlement in the New World. Visit the restored full-scale Jamestown Settlement, a museum of 17th-century Virginia history and culture. Near the site of the original colony, discover the story of America’s beginnings through immersive films, gallery exhibits and outdoor re-creations. Later visit Yorktown, where British commander Lord Cornwallis surrendered to Washington’s troops in 1781. Visit the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown which tells the story of the nation’s founding. Exciting indoor galleries feature period artifacts, immersive environments and films including “The Siege of Yorktown.” Outdoors explore a re-created Continental Army encampment and a 1780’s farm with costumed interpreters re-creating daily life.

DAY 7 – COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG
Today visit Virginia’s largest historical attraction, Colonial Williamsburg, a 173-acre living history museum. The immersive and authentic experience starts at the Visitor’s Center then explore at your own pace the 88 restored and reconstructed 18th century buildings. Mingle with costumed townspeople and witness craftsmen demonstrations. Maybe visit Raleigh Tavern, the meeting place for Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and other patriots. Tonight enjoy a traditional Colonial Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.

DAY 8 – WILLIAMSBURG / FLY HOME

ACTIVITY LEVEL: The overall activity level of this tour is a LEVEL 3. This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days. You should be in good health, able to walk a flight of stairs (or more), and participate in walking tours of nature walks possibly over uneven ground and cobblestone streets with periods of standing. There could be some early and late activities as well as temperature and altitude changes.

CREDIT CARDS:
PWD accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express for credit card payments. We must get a signature on the reservation form or PWD credit card charge form for initial credit card charges. We can also accept a letter of authorization with the cardholder signature and the amount to be charged. Credit cards taken over the phone must be accompanied by the 3 digit security code from the back of the card. For final payments using the same card as the initial deposit, authorization to PWD can be taken via phone or email by the Group Contact or Passenger. PWD does not accept group leader/single source credit card payments for full or partial group final payments. Credit cards for final payments need to be in the name of a traveling passenger. PWD cannot take overpayments for services not being rendered by PWD via credit card such as own air. PWD cannot accept credit card payments in excess of what is due to PWD other than commission due to group/agency. The amount in total PWD can charge on a passenger credit card for a group booking cannot exceed the amount due to Premier for the group booking (other than commission). Credit card payments cannot exceed the Flyer Sell At package amount or PWD provided package of the traveling passenger and his/her roommate(s). PWD can accept group leader/single source credit cards for deposits.
AIR DEVIATIONS & GATEWAY CHANGES:
Any Air Deviation, Gateway Change or Own Air Arrangement must be submitted to PWD Reservations Dept in writing (email/letter/Res Form) 6 months prior to departure. Any Air Deviation involving dates of travel other than regular scheduled group travel dates will incur a $150 per person air supplement for International Trips/$75 per person air supplements for US/Canada. Any passenger requesting a different gateway (Gateway Change) from the group will not incur an air supplement but will be subject to air rate increases or reductions based on the Gateway. Passengers requesting Own Air will get the RT Air package reduction. One-way air, Triangular air or air involving stopovers is not permitted with PWD group air contracts (offer Own air reduction). Business Class or First Class Upgrades are not permitted with PWD group air contracts.
“OWN” AIR ARRANGEMENTS:
PWD is scheduled to book air arrangments for your group unless noted otherwise on page 1. Any passenger or group change to OWN Air must be submitted to PWD in writing 6 months prior to Departure Date. Group change to OWN Air must be reviewed by Inventory Manager to see if PWD has non-refundable air deposits out, change may not be permitted or penalties may apply. Group change from OWN Air to PWD group air must be submitted 6 months prior to Departure Date, and must be reviewed by Inventory Manager for Air Department approval as space may not be available and rates can vary.
LATE BOOKINGS:
Late Bookings (after Final Payment due date) are subject to air and hotel availability, and are normally subject to air supplements.
REPLACEMENT BOOKINGS:
Replacement Bookings – Name Changes are not possible. Each Passenger Cancellation is processed independently of any new Passenger Booking.
TRIPLE RATES:
Triple room rate reduction is based on a standard double room with 2 beds. Triple rates do NOT include a third rollaway bed. Room configurations vary greatly Internationally.
PASSPORT & DOB INFORMATION:
A valid passport is required for tours that leave the United States even to Canada, Mexico or the Carribean and is the responsibility of each passenger. Passports should be valid for up to six (6) months beyond the travel dates. All names must be submitted to Premier exactly as they appear on passenger passports. Dates of Birth (DOB’s) are required with reservation for air travel. Copies of passports are required for some programs. Additional forms maybe necessary based on the destination. Travel Visas, when applicable, are the responsibility of the individual passenger. Please see the Flyer back for destination specific information.
CANCELLATION NOT COVERD by the Travel Protection Plan (TPP) or passengers opting not to purchase the Travel Protection Plan are subject to the per person Cancellation Fees as described below. The Travel Protection Plan must be purchased with initial deposit.

CANCELLATION FEES:
Cancellations not covered by the Travel Protection Plan (TPP) or if the TPP is not purchased, are subject to the following per person fees:
– Cancel more than 180 days prior to departure: Full Refund
– Cancel 179-90 days prior to departure: Deposit or TPP* is Retained**
– Cancel 89-60 days prior to departure: 25% of total price
– Cancel 59-30 days prior to departure: 50% of total price
– Cancel 29-15 days prior to departure: 75% of total price
– Cancel 14 days or less prior to departure/no shows: No refunds

Part A – Cancellation Waiver provided by PWD
I. Trip Cancellation Waiver (TCW) – Guarantees full refund on all payments, except the Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee itself in case of cancellation up to the time and date of departure due to the passenger’s personal illness or death of an immediate family member. Medical/official documentation required.
II. Premier “Any Reason” Cancellation Waiver (ARCW) – Reimburses 75% of the cancellation fees in the form of a future travel credit certificate (FTCC) valid for 1 year, if you cancel more than 48 hours prior to scheduled departure for any reason not eligible for cash refund under the TCW (Part A – I.). FTCC is non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash and does not include any credit for the Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee. The Trip Cancellation Waiver Fee must be paid for with Initial Deposit and is refundable until 180 days prior to departure. The Trip Cancellation Waiver does not cover any single supplement charges due to an individual’s traveling companion canceling prior to departure. The Trip Cancellation Waiver is non-transferable and valid for each applicant only. The Trip Cancellation Waiver does not cover any services such as airline tickets not purchased through PWD. Cancellations, Refunds & Inquiries under Part A will be handled by PWD. Certain Exclusions and Restrictions apply.

Premier World Tours LLC dba Premier World Discovery (hereafter PWD), whose vouchers are used by respective agents for the passenger in all matters pertaining to hotel accommodations, sight-seeing tours and transportation, hold themselves free of responsibility for any damages occasioned from any cause whatsoever. PWD will not be responsible for any damages or inconvenience caused by late arrivals, departures and change of schedule or other conditions nor will they be responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passenger is not on board their conveyance. The passage contract in use by the airline concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of this tour/cruise, and/or passenger. PWD does not hold any responsibility for the conduct of any of its members, hotel, motorcoach, cruiseline, train, airline or other personnel. PWD reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour/cruise at its discretion. PWD &/or its Tour Director retain the right to require any participant to withdraw from a tour/cruise at any time, if determined to be in the best interests of health, safety & general welfare of the tour/cruise group or of the individual participant. Arbitration – I/We agree, any and all disputes concerning this contract or any other material concerning the trip, or the trip itself must be resolved exclusively pursuant to binding arbitration in the state of California, pursuant to the then current rules of the American Arbitration Association.
